I saw the link on this site for Ipe and saw that you have Armstrong-Clark as your top, but only reviewing two (and Defy). Any thoughts on Defy, Penofin, Super Deck etc? Looking for something that will last, although I do recognize that Ipe will require more frequent treatments. Thanks!

Defy Hardwod is very good. Penofin and Super Deck are very poor. Do not last and both turn black from UV. Very poor.

Thanks for the Defy recommendation. Any thoughts on Tung Oil?

Also, any thoughts on when to do a first coat after a deck installation? I've heard to wait a season to allow the deck to acclimatize and the pours to open up first.

PS - I am in Seattle

Tung Oil will do nothng for UV protection and will attract mildew. See here about new wood: https://www.deckstainhelp.com/how-long-should-you-wait-to-stain-a-new-deck/
