Cleaning turned new redwood black

I was prepping new, weathered redwood fencing for staining and used Restore-a-Deck cleaner. I used a scrub brush and a hose sprayer but not a pressure wash, since I was just getting dust and dirt off. The Armstrong & Clark stain instructions suggested using a brush. A day later, the new wood had all this black on it. What happened? What do I do? Ugh, I wish I had not used this cleaning

product that appears to have been to harsh for this new wood.

You have to use the Step 2 RAD Brightener after the Cleaner to neutralize and restore the pH balance. That would fix this.
