You need to wait otherwise you will need to redo the deck within a year. Best to wait 3 months then try a stain like Armstrong Clark.

Best Deck Stain For Southern California

Nothing will last more then 2-3 years on a horizontal deck with a semi-transparent stain. For LA you would need TWP 1500 or Armstrong Clark.
