Deck Stain Stripping Questions and Answers

I have a client who's deck was stained last with Rustoleum Restore. Under that coating, are two coats of other stains. I saw in another post that there is not a stripper that will remove the Restore product. Rustoleum claims to have a stripper that will remove it. Have you used it? Results?
Also, I see many reference to sanding off stains. What type of sander is recommended for this procedure?
