Help! I just stained my deck using SuperDeck semi-transparent oil stain. The wonderful people at Sherwin Williams gave us two different tints of the same color (not sure how this happened), but it looks bad and we need to start over. How do we strip this stain off? Or do we have to sand (please no)? Just stained this past weekend.

Also, can I use a paint instead of stain once we get it stripped off?

Use the RAD Stripper to remove while pressure washing:  https://www.deckstainhelp.com/restore-a-deck-injectable-deck-stain-stripper-review/

Make sure to use the RAD Brightener after. Do not paint it. If you want a solid color, use a solid color deck stain instead:  https://www.deckstainhelp.com/what-are-the-best-solid-color-deck-stains/

Thanks! When applying a stain, semi transparent or solid, do you wipe off excess or not? The stain on there now is a bit tacky and we didn’t wipe off.
