We just finished a 3 season porch and deck, and used cedar to frame the bottom. We used a white stain- Sherwin Williams Woodscapes in solid white...and I don't like it. Too much white. Is there any hope in removing and using a transparent stain to bring out the cedar? or covering the white with a brown stain? thanks for any advice!

You would have to power sand to remove the white if you want a transparent. You can apply another solid stain over it in any color you like.
