We have a new CVG Douglas Fir porch and are looking to stain it a walnut color.
We want it to be look close to what it would look like if we were to have floor on the interior of the house with stain, and a satin poly sheen.
How can I achieve this same look on the exterior?

You can never use a poly over an exterior wood stain nor can you use a shiny finish on exterior wood, it will blister and peel.
