Spray staining

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site. My question is:

Is it possible to use an airless air assist spray system to apply decking stain without back brushing and achieve a quality finish?

The product is California paints latex storm system.

The deck has already been washed and scrubbed with cleaning solution, then power washed. Sanding begins tomorrow.

It's a fairly large deck about 2600 s.f. The plan is to roll and brush. But since, I also own a AAA sprayer. I was wondering, if, it's possible to mist the stain on and achieve a quality finished product.

Any suggestions is appreciated.
