I have Cabots solid stain on my entire deck., I am sanding off the deck and will stain with TWP. I plan to keep the handrails with a solid color as they have held up OK. What are your suggestions? Should I stay with Cabots (expensive) or are their better or equal (but cheaper) choices out there?
Thanks,
Pete

I had used Cabot 1600 Oil base. I am having trouble finding it. Any suggested alternatives?

Found a place that can order the 1600 oil base. They said most people are going to Acrylic so they don't stock the oil. On the Cabots site it says acrylic requires 2 coats but the oil only one coat. Who wants to do 2 coats??? Is their any advantage to acrylic other than water cleanup?

Water cleanup and better at mold prevention.

My primary goal is longevity. What do you recommend, oil or acrylic?
