Great Site Thank You! I have had my ceder deck boards stored in my shop for a couple of months and they were quite dry when I purchased it. Is it worth it and there an advantage or disadvantage to staining the bottom and sides as well as the top before I install the decking? I am thinking I would use TWP as it is a preservative as well as a stain unless you would recommend a different product?

You cannot pre-stain new wood. See this for new deck tips:  https://www.deckstainhelp.com/staining-a-new-deck/

No advantage to staining all sides. Install, let weather, prep, and stain. TWP would work well.
