I have a fence project that will require just 1 or 2 gallons of Sikkens Cetol SRD in color 996, AKA "Natural Light", to complete. This project is partially started/completed, so I'm kind of in a bind.
That color has been discontinued for a few years now, so probably my only hope of finding some will be to locate a contractor or a mom and pop hardware store somewhere that still has a dust-covered can or two "in the back".
Are you such a person, or do you know such a person? Or, can you provide any possible "leads"?
Sympathy is always appreciated, but what I really need is that stain! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, but they had no ideas. Apparently they discontinued the color as it contained titanium dioxide in levels that resulted in high VOCs. Nor could they give a formula or a mix of existing SRD colors that would match. "Natural" their current lightest color stain, is already darker than the Natural Light I'm after, so no mix is possible.
My last hope is probably that dusty can "in the back"!
