I am in the process of installing a Western Red Cedar deck. How long should I wait before applying a stain/sealer?

That really depends on the brand of stain you are using as the manufacturers vary in their suggestions. It can vary from 1-12 months on the waiting period. Have you decided on a particular brand?

I'm considering TWP100 or TWP 1500.

TWP spec sheets want you to wait 4-12 months to let the wood weather.
