What is the best finish for an Ipe Deck in Hawaii that will retain color and not patina/fade out quickly?
This deck is ocean front in Hawaii, non-covered, exposed to sun, daily rain, and light salt air.
We used Penofin Penetrating Oil for hardwood, clear, and it looks beautiful, but only for about 6 weeks, then it fades and looks dry and grey. I don't mind refinishing once a year, but certainly not once a month.
