Grey looking deck

I have a cedar deck that is about 10 months old and I want to apply some stain. How can I get rid of the greying to bring back its natural color. Do I us a deck stripper or deck cleaner on it? Also from what I have read its not a good idea to use a pressure washer on it. I have tried just a mild detergent solution on a step of it and scrubbed it which is alot of work but can still see some grey and white around the knots. What to do...

Deck Cleaner and then a wood brightener: https://www.deckstainhelp.com/restore-a-deck-cleaner-system-review/

You can pressure wash at a low setting while using proper prep products.

What is the best way to apply the stain roller, brush or spray? How do you prevent over lapping as you apply it?

You pressure wash with the kit, no need to scrub. How to apply depends on the stain brand and type of stain you choose. Not all the same.
