Hey

We got this super gray deck (pics below). We used olympic deck cleaner and now got bleached wood with furring. i'm overhelmed with the great number of posts and all the lovely help suggestions posted already but seeking an experts advice. What steps do you recommend to best restore the deck?

Should we strip & sand?
What paint would you recommend (We're looking for solid stains).

1. Located in : Washington
2. Wood : not sure
3. Some mold and mildue.
4. old deck wood was grayed and paint was weathered and mostly gone.

Side question: Some boards have long cracks, they seem sturdy to walk over but do they need replacing ?

looks like the images got placed in different order. The image at the bottom is the one before any work was done and you can see its dark gray and black in parts. The other two images were the result after using the olympic deck cleaner.

thanks in advance.

You prep is good if you are going to use a solid stain. Try the Flood Pro Series.
