😕 How do I go about removing the Waterseal. I was dumb to apply it to new deck. Now the deck is all black and discolored.

You could use either a wood deck cleaner or a deck stain stripper. Cleaner if the Thompson's was applied 2 years ago or more, stain stripper if less then 2 years. Both will need to be neutralized with a deck brightener.

We used Thompson's Advanced Water Sealer on pressure treated wood about year ago when the deck was 1.5 years old. It's left a waxy black coating in places that pressure washing using Zeps & simple green deck cleaner does not get out. We want to stain the deck but are worried that we will have a blotchy mess if we don't get that coating off. My husband doesn't want to use a Deck Stripper any other suggestions?

You only have two choices. Strip or sand it off. Stripping is much easier. Make sure to apply a wood brightener when done.
