I had a new cedar fence built that I shared cost with a neighbor. The neighbor coated his side of fence immediately after build was complete. I want to clean and brighten before I stain. Will the cleaning and brightening damage the coating my neighbor applied? I assume when I spray on cleaner / brightener and powerwash some will go thru joints and get on the other side that is coated. Will it cause streaks etc on coated side?
