Armstrong Semi Transparent Redwood Feedback

Basically like this stain (as well this website). Followed all prep instructions religiously. Choose Armstrong over TWP or Defy because of closest color match. On Western Red Cedar in NE Wi, SW exposure. 1 year old. See right after finish pic and then a year later showing what I think is premature wear on seldom used steps. The good news is I think it is an easy touch up
