The prep kit with pressure washing should remove the chalk lines.
Wait a few days and see. If it stays milky, you may need to remove and start over.
2 coats wet on wet unless using on new wood that is 4-12 months old. Only one coat is what they suggest.

Might want to find a better stain and contractor. It needs to be removed. Adding more of the same will just make it worse.

We would apply 2 light coats now wet on wet. Back wipe any stain that does not soak in within 30-45 minutes.
