We have a floating dock with plank on a pond, and several platforms near the pond (SW Virginia). We stained 7 years ago, with (I think) Sherwin Williams deckscapes stain. Now it is mostly gone except for the shady areas that have strips of dark stain. There is no electric source for power washing, and the pond water is the only water source.

We scraped best we could and are unsure what to do now. Several questions:

1. Is it safe to use RAD stripper or cleaner or brightener over water? If so, can we rinse with pond water? I don't want to hurt the fish.

2. I would like to use TWP 100 or 1500, maybe try to match the old stain?

Thanks,
Les

The RAD products should be okay but scrub well and rinse even better. Definitely get a stain close in color or darker in cased you need to blend some of the old stain with the new.
