My question isn't related to a deck, but a veneer door and I hope you can help. This forum has so much useful information related to wood!
I have a veneer oak door that was stained the wrong color. My painter went ahead and sanded as much as he could but there are still parts that hold the stain. Is it useless to try to strip the wood at this point? Does anyone have any recommendations on what process or product I should use to clean up the wood as much as possible?
We've used Krud Kutter graffiti remover with a brush and that's done a decent job, but my painter is afraid to use any sort of stripper b/c of the veneer. Is he correct? Some research has directed me to peel away, defy and hd-80 but I don't know the first thing about this.
Any insight would be so appreciated. TY!
Strippers will probably destroy the veneer.
