Prepping Deck

First time deck do it yourselfer.

I did the mandatory google searching on DIY staining a deck, and well.. it hasn't gone as smoothly as the internet had led me to believe.

The history of the deck, as far as I am aware: There is an old (several year) old tinted protection on it. The close up is the worst of what I figure is left over sealer, which survived over the years mainly in that spot due to the shade and patio furniture. Then, as pictured, there is a little bit throughout the deck as well.

I've washed the deck twice with Olympic premium deck cleaner, and the pictures are my results. I didn't use a stripper, due to the abundance of plants around the deck.

I was planning on laying down a semi-transparent stain. But what is my next step from here? Doesn't look to be ready, and i'm not sure how to clean it up further.
