I have a three year old tigerwood deck. Located in northern Michigan. The deck is a southern exposure with no shade. So extreme heat in the summer all day and freezing the 10 months of the year..... The wood itself is still in excellent condition, but I have never been happy with the way it looks related to the oil I have been using. I was recommended to uses "Messmer's Hardwood Oil". I was told this was the only thing that would penetrate due to the hardness. My problem is it is too dark. It hides the natural beauty of the wood. It seems even worse this year but I hired someone to clean the deck and I am not sure what they used but I dont think they neutralized it properly because I have some spots that almost look black now. I would like it to look like it did just after I sanded it and it was wet. Any suggestions?
