Hi. I'm located in Ontario Canada so we have quite a mix of weather to deal with. We have an existing deck around our pool and we've just replaced an 18x30 pool with an 18' round, so there is now a large area of new wood alongside existing wood. The existing wood had a Para semi transparent stain applied about 6 years ago. It lasted very well, and some of the color (a lighter green) is still apparent while some areas are almost bare again. I'm looking for some guidance on whether I should be using a solid stain now to equalize any color variations or what other suggestions should I be considering? Sand the whole deck? It's a huge deck - about 30x50. Pix attached - you can see the new wood behind the pool.

It would be best to use a solid stain here. Pressure clean the wood for the prep.

Thanks - I suspected solid would be best. Are there any recommendations on brands available here or ones to stay clear of? many of the top rated brands are not readily available her, unfortunately...
