I recently had a timber frame outdoor structure built. The builder put one coat of 2/3 linseed oil and 1/3 turpentine. I would like to apply a darker finish. Any suggestions?

Ok. That makes sense. I'm wondering hown to strip off linseed oil that has soaked into the wood? In can remove the surface material but not sure how to remove produce within the wood itself.

Thanks for the response. I'm wondering if there are any produces available in Canada? I will be hard pressed to get that product shipped from Michigan under then current restrictions.
