I have read the reviews but still can't determine what is the best protector for my Ipe deck. As suggestions? I also have some marks made by my metals chairs that I have to clean off the deck. What should I use there ?

I would look at Armstrong Clark in the Mahogany color or Ipe Oil. Not sure on the chair marks. Maybe a general deck cleaner.
