IPE deck stripped & brightened in Autumn...can I stain it now or more prep needed?

So I stripped and brightened my IPE deck in early Autumn, and one thing led to another until it seemed too cold and wet to stain. Now it's Spring and my Ipe deck (with cedar 6x6 posts and edge bands) is greying and thirsty. I bought my IPE Oil (and Defy Extreme for the cedar) last year and I'm ready to go. What "new" prep do I need to do now to stain it? Do I have to clean/powerwash + brighten again, or will a simple powerwashing be enough prep since it was stripped and brightened in Autumn?
