Deck stain for a teak table?

Why do you want a solid stain? It is basically a paint that masks the wood grain. I would get a semi-transparent or semi-solid with a similar color to blend. Look at Armstrong Clark, they have very nice colors.

Sorry, I just checked the paperwork from the table and it says that it is eucalyptus not teak! (I should have known better based on the way it is weathering). Anyway, there is just no way to get all the old stain completely off. Benjamin Moore folks told me that a solid stain would cover the raw wood and the old stain and let me change the color slightly. I don't see that Armstrong Clark has any solid stains. Do you have another suggestion?

Here are the pictures. The slats on the table have about 3/8" in between with some wood bracing under. You can see the wasp damage on the chair.

I would not paint that. I would strip off the majority of the stain then use Armstrong Clark in one of the semi solid colors of Oxford or Woodland brown.
