Hello,
I am looking for the best non-peeling deck stain in a rich brown color that will show the wood grain.
My old deck has been scraped, stripped, power washed and brightened and sanded with 80 grit paper.. It had a blue gray solid stain on it. I don't ever want to do this process again. My deck doesn't seem to have a mold or mildew issue. It is in New England (CT) sun in summer and snow in winter. I don't mind treating yearly as along as it's a quick wash and reapplication.
The wood is a variety of colors. White, yellow and orange. How to I get a uniform rich brown not orange color that won't peel and will protect the wood. What is the best brand to use?
I've attached a few photos of the process of prepping deck. I know it has to be dry and product should be applied sparingly to avoid peeling.
open to suggestions. Thanks
Make sure all the gray is removed. For final prep, use a deck cleaner and then a wood brightener. Stain with Armstrong Clark in Rustic Brown color.
