We bought this stain last summer and applied 2 coats. We power washed, cleaned and brightened the deck prior. The stain did not come out good at all. It's very faded like it wasn't even stained. We are going to stain again in the next few weeks. Can we just go right over the existing stain? No way we want to go through the prep again. Thanks

You have to at least clean the wood before reapplying.

These pictures were taken right after I clean the deck. I'm buying stain tomorrow. What type of stain would be best to go I've this? Water or oil based? Semi trans or semi solid ? Thank you
