The green treated decking and rough cut cedar wrap was installed about a month ago (February in Minnesota)

I plan on letting the green treated deck sit (season) for a year, but from what I am reading, I should do something with the rough cut cedar wrap. I plan on cleaning it, using a brightener and then clear sealing it.

My first question is: Will any of the cleaner and/or brightener hurt the green treated decking below it along with the aluminum powder coated railing if I get it on either of these?

Also, What products are recommended for this project? (Cleaner, brightener and sealer)

Thanks

No harm the decking below.  Best to test first on the railing to make sure. No way to be certain.

Try the Restore A Deck Prep Kits and the TWP 100 Series stain.

Thanks, I have a contractor that swears by Rymar sealant and stain. Do you have any opinions on that brand. I believe Sherwin Williams sells it.

Never used it. SW bought it about 3 years ago from the original manufacturer. Not sure if they messed with the formula or kept it the same.
