I have a cedar deck in MN that needs to be restained & I would like to not do it again for a while.

Have you had experience with Q8 Super Last product on decks. It is out of Louisville, KY and oil based. They have a deck product

Yes on the brand cleaners. I personally like Penofin better.

Thank you so much for your help! I see that both Penofin and Sikkens are available in my town. I'll be doing a semi-transparent stain in a gray color. Do you think one is better than the other? Also, should I use the brand cleaning product that is from the same manufacturer? I don't have any stain on it now and it is in very good shape.

I would not use any of those on a deck customer of ours. See if you can find Penofin or Sikkens in your area.

None of the products listed as the three best are available in Canada. :( I am looking for a gray color. We only have Beauti-tone, Wood Shield, Cabot, Premier, CIL, Para, Benjamin Moore, Behr’s
Sherwin Williams. The deck is two years old in good shape and is pressure treated. I checked Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, Lowes, Home Hardware and a few paint stores and these seem to be the only available products. Any recommendations on which one to use?
