It would not hurt to let the rails weather as well. For solid stains, we like the Flood brand. The floors should be TWP 1500 or Armstrong Clark.

We like spraying with back brushing with an exterior stain pad applicator.

The Cabot is better the the Arbor Coat but we would use neither. Try TWP 1500. Apply with sprayer and stain pads.
