Our deck was previously stained and sealed with Thompson's semi-transparent about 18 months ago. I haven't been happy with the product and since we saw this spring more areas where the stain had either worn off or peeled we decided to look into redoing the deck. At first we were going to just clean and sand the areas where it was worn, but then I thought it would be too difficult and wouldn't be happy with the results. In a test area I applied Defy stripper and then brightener tand it still has stain coming through I cannot get off. This is typical decking material bought from Lowes. Before doing anything else, I wanted to check what you recommended next. I can either reapply Thompson's to this small area and worry about redoing the deck in a year or two or something else, but I hate to invest any more $ into a product that isn't holding up. I live in Raleigh NC.

142,141,140Thank you,

C.
