You do not need the brightener if applying a solid stain again.

Ok, I’ll probably just strip what I can and then maybe use the brightener after that?

Stain stripper will not remove solid stains fully. If you want to remove it, you will need to sand it off. Other option is to strip what you can and then reapply another solid stain.

Attaching a picture of what I'm dealing with just in case. My hope is to go with a solid white and brown when I restain.

Hello!

I am getting ready to redo the deck around the house I just bought last year. I believe that it was previously stained with a solid stain (it would have been quite some time ago). I looked at the stripping products on here and saw that the Restore-A-Deck was the highest recommended (and could be used with a pressure washer, which I have). However, it states on their site that it is not for solid color stains. Is there another product that would be better to use to strip this, or do I need to strip it if I plan on going over it with another solid stain color?
