I have also used Revitalize for my deck coating.Installed 2 heavy coats at least 10 years ago. It has stayed intact with no chipping or flaking. I am replacing with Behr Premium Deck coating . I tried to remove with a Sun Joe 2300PSI pressure washer. Only seen some removal after putting on a 0 degree head. Stared to damage the Redwood. Is my only other option to use an Orbital sander or a higher PSI rated Pressure washer? Thank You

We put a coating of Pittsburgh Revitalize wood and concrete resurfacer on our deck about 2 years ago. Our deck was in decent shape...it looked a bit old and worn, and only had a few cracks and minor rotten spots, so I figured a product like this would be ideal. It wasn't. It was a nightmare to apply, and then began to flake off after only a few months. Given a total lack of time and money, I haven't gotten around to fixing it until now, but it needs to be done.

My question is: Since this is not your typical "stain," how do I go about removing it? The FAQs for the product say to never use a pressure washer, so would that remove it? Or do I need to go through the stripping process? I'm hoping to avoid that if possible, because our deck has a lot of nooks and crannies, and stripping every inch of this stuff would be a TON of work. Not to mention the cost of buying all those different products.

Any help I could get with removing this stuff would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
