If you do not care that it will look blotchy, then yes you could spot sand and spot stain but it will not look good when done.</p>]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I stained my Deck 2 years ago and I have noticed that patches on the railing are starting to peel and the wood is starting to be exposed. How do I repair these small patches as I don't want to repair the whole railing. Is it possible to just to sand back these sections and re-stain? I don't want to use a stain remover as I'm concerned that splashes will cause damage to other parts of the deck.</p>]]></content:encoded>
