cedar, no mold/mildew
3 year old cedar deck. Poor quality cedar in some areas/cracking of wood. Built by contractor over a hot summer & stained immediately. Behr semi-tranparent applied & literally most of stain faded to gray in < 6 months. Following spring, stripped, stained with Sikkens Cetol semi-transparent cedar. Not as bad but main flooring of deck has faded significantly in high traffic areas. Very disappointed. Dog scratches but those don't bother me. New contractor will sand, strip and refinish. Is Defy deck stain for hardwoods a good choice ? I would like something that last more than 4-8 months especially in high traffic areas.
