I hired a contractor to powerwash and stain my deck.  I purchased the stain and he started the job.  When he began to stain the deck it seemed to go well.  He said the wood on my deck seemed old and was absorbing stain quickly.  He finished the top of the deck and was going to come back the next day to complete the job.  I looked at it and half of the deck looked one color (like stain I had purchased) while the other half looked much darker and orange.  It almost looked like paint.  He told me it just needed to dry and left for the day.  He never returned to finish the job and now I have a deck that is not finished and the parts that are done are two completely different colors!  I purchased the stain from Lowe's....only one color so I have no idea how this happened.  I am trying to rent my house and now that he has left me in a bind I am already behind schedule.  Like an idiot I prepaid so I can't afford to hire a professional.  I will have to finish it myself.   I do not know how to fix this.  Please help!
