<p>Hello, looking for some guidance on this sun drenched deck in Illinois. Cedar boards, was stained previously in what appears to be a semi-transparent stain. Would you recommend stripping the deck, brightening, sanding? Just curious what steps would be best. Given it's full sun location, would it be best to finish with a semi-transparent or a solid? The homeowner would prefer to keep it the same. As well, would oil based last longer than water based? I appreciate any feedback. -Kevin</p>
