                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have a PVC deck and it's great. The support wood under the deck is pressure treated wood. For aesthetic purposes, I wanted to stain that PT wood with a solid color stain.</p>
<p>1. Is this a good idea? Are there any cons in doing this? The only thing I can think of is I would now have to do maintenance staining, whereas if I didn't stain, then I would just do nothing.</p>
<p>2. Since the PT wood is generally "protected" from the elements (vastly shaded, some spots would get wet during rain), would I still need to do a maintenance coat every 2-3 years? or would it last for 5-7+ years? I'll probably go with Defy or RAD.</p>]]></content:encoded>
