Im acclimatising the boards for two weeks 

then  plan to

-install them

-weather the deck over winter and stain it in spring. (Its Autumn here in NZ )

Once the deck boards are installed I wont be able to access the ends to apply anything to seal them (oil wax etc .) 

Would it be a good idea to seal the ends before I screw them to the joists ?
