5 year old rough sawn cedar posts need redoing. Original stain was Benjamin Moore Arborcoat semi transparent. Some are in shade. Some in partial sun. Some in direct sun 3-5 hours/day in northern Illinois. No mold or mildew. Some peeling in direct sun areas.Fading in partial sun areas. Suggestions on products? TPW 1500? AC? Other? What are consequences if cedar is not stripped beforehand? Not sure if stripping rough sawn cedar is an option.
Thank you.
