Hi I live in Greenville sc. My deck is 10 years old. I've had it clear stained by professionals, it lasted one year. I stripped it chemistry with pressure washer and restained it with semi- transparent stain, lasted 1 and a half years. Then restripped it yet again and stained it with a denser stain still fail. Each time I've bought most expensive and best review product, all stated would last 25 years. Last one again lasted 1 and a half years. The paint rep came out to my house, said because the deck is in full sun all day I need a solid color stain.my wood looks rough, I've replaced all the really damaged wood. You say you don't review solid stains but do you have a recommendation. I'm now a 70+ widow. I can't afford to hire anyone so must do it myself. I need something that will last for years. Please help.
