the main problem here is that most stain manufacturers do not want you stain new wood right away as the stain will not absorb well into the wood. In addition, there is really no advantage to staining the unexposed sides.

How long should we wait before staining?
Should we stain all at once for a uniform color?

And, the most important question.....WHAT STAIN should we use?

(I've read your articles and reviews, but I can't quite determine what is best for new pressure treated pine. We live in Florida, the deck is 50% shaded by oak trees).
