It was treated with Penofin Penetrating Oil Finish. Now it looks terrible. I was told they have to remove all the roof slats, sand them down and refinish with the same product.

The company said it must be refinished every year. How can I get this crap off and refinish with something that works? What product is best?

The wood is just pine. We live in Albuquerque New Mexico so it is hot and dry,
