So after cleaning the deck yesterday, sanding earlier today, and about 2 hours of staining columns underneath the 2x4 railing it begins to rain. I religiously checked the radar over the past 48 hours and saw nothing major coming, but of course it continuously dumped for about 20 minutes. The railings have the woodcover above them, but the unstained deck is now soaked and needs to dry out again. Am using Shermin Williams SuperDeck Exterior Waterborne Solid Deck Stain. I mainly want to know if I should be reapplying to the posts, and how long I need to wait to apply the stain to the floor of the deck, given that it's saturated now. Thank you for any insight here.
