I’ve read much of the advice on your site and am greatly appreciative. I have a question about non-drying oil based stains. After repairs, cleaning, brightening and sanding, would it make sense to treat the wood with a non-drying oil stain (or plain non-drying oil) to restore the wood, like one might do with a cutting board, followed by a drying oil based stain or sealer to finish the deck? And if so, what product would you recommend.
