	Actually, that's not dark brown stain.  I took the photos on a cloudy, rainy day.<br />
	<br />
	Here are some taken when it's dry.  There's some residual stain, but for the most part, it's pretty dirty and weathered.<br />
	<br />
	Would power wash be okay, or does it require stripping/brightening?<br />
	<br />

	What's left of the old stain looks to be semi-transparent.  I'd like to go with semi-solid.  I'm not big on the woodgrain look.<br />
	<br />
	I'd like the old and new woods to look rather uniform.  What do we need to do to accomplish this?  I'm in Raleigh, NC.<br />
