We have this deck area in our backyard that needs to be redone. I’ve never done this before so I have no idea what to do! It was stained before we bought the house 2 years ago, but the stain has worn off and is peeling, also has some dark spots where planters were sitting. Not sure what kind of wood it’s made of. Full hot sun here in Northern California. I was going to either sand or pressure wash the rest of the remaining stain, use cleaner/brightener, and then stain. Some folks have told me to use Australian timber oil or to just paint it, but stain seems a better choice. Any tips to this newbie? Thank you!
